I found the comic strip very relevant to that challenge us as first years. In a way, this is the way most of us survive because of the many pressures we are faced with. Although this comic strip is very good, relevant, and entertaining, I think that the storyline could have been explored more, given a bit more detail, so as to add more 'spice' to the tale. The characters used were portrayed very well, and that is what made the comic more enjoyable. I do think though that they were a bit shy with what was shown in the pictures that were in the comic strip.

I can definitely relate to this comic strip because I had to deal with the pressures of going out and drinking instead of doing my assignments. It is laid out in a simple, easy-to-understand way and is definitely true for pretty much all first years as well as second and third years etc. The sentences in the speech bubbles could have been more detailed to make the storyline more interesting, but this comic strip has been done really well. The girl in it is portrayed as the victim, but she is also the villain because she ends up almost destroying something that affects her.

I think this is a very interesting photo comic in a sense that it portrays exactly what first year come across with, and that is peer pressure. I also experienced a bit of peer pressure during O-week where people I thought were my friends persuaded me to drink and go out just as much as they did. So, in a way, that aspect of it was clearly set out. The pictures were also clear and well taken. Also the character explicitly portrayed the plotlines you guys have created. However it was hard for me to figure out who the hero actually is and which genre you guys have chosen. Other than that, I think your blog is interesting and that it relates to issues that first years are faced with.

The main reason that I love this particular comic strip is that I could almost swear that it's based on me! My point is,then, that you guys hit the spot perfectly by actually covering something very relevant to many of us first years here at Rhodes University. I think that is what really makes "Deadline Drama" so special. There are clearly humorous aspects to it, but at the same time two fairly serious issues that we face are covered; academics and drinking.
On the most part, too, the photography and design is well done. While I'm not necessarily keen on the purple borders, which I find distract from the actual comic, the majority of the colouration, design and use of pictures was well done and effective. Well done to the Delilah Fresh team!
